Tessa Kramer earned a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology in Newton. She completed her pre-doctoral clinical psychology internship and a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical health psychology at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. Most recently, she practiced as the clinical health psychologist at the Hartford Hospital Transplant Program and Comprehensive Liver Center.
Dr. Kramer has varied past experiences providing psychotherapy services at Massachusetts General Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, and Wheaton College. In addition to health psychology, she specializes in Latino Mental Health care and has provided psychological services to children and adults in Costa Rica, Ecuador and Nicaragua. She practices in Spanish and English. She particularly enjoys helping people alleviate depression, anxiety, insomnia, and stress, as well as adjust to and manage co-occurring health conditions. She is also committed to assisting people reach their smoking cessation and weight management goals.
Dr. Kramer sees adult patients (18 years of age and older) by referral from Hawthorn Adult and Family Medicine/Primary Care Physicians.
