Anthony Karabanow, MD

Infectious Disease/Travel Medicine

Dr. Karabanow earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut Health Science Center. After completing an internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital/Clinics, Dr. Karabanow held positions as a primary care physician and hospitalist. He has also held several global health positions including serving with Doctors Without Borders in South Sudan and with the International Medical Corps in Liberia during the Ebola outbreak.

Most recently, Dr. Karabanow was an academic hospitalist at Maine Medical Center before completing an infectious diseases fellowship at Tufts Medical Center with special training in hyperbaric medicine and wound care. He is a past assistant professor at Tufts School of Medicine and is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.
