Oncology/Hematology

Oncologists provide diagnosis and treatment for all types of cancer and other benign and malignant tumors. They manage the medical component of cancer treatment including chemotherapy, as well as plan and administer the most appropriate therapy. Hematologists provide diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders including anemia, bleeding disorders, and low platelet counts. They treat diseases of the blood, spleen and lymph glands, focusing on such conditions as anemia, clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, leukemia and lymphoma.
