Dr. Abbott is an experienced Neurologist and Sleep Medicine physician, who is a director of Hawthorn Medical's Sleep Center. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Abbott is also board certified in the subspecialty of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Abbott treats patients with a variety of neurological conditions including stroke, cerebral vascular disease, headaches, memory loss, multiple sclerosis, seizures, Parkinson's disease, sleep disorders and movement disorders, and performs neuromuscular testing.
Dr. Abbott is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine and did his training at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Neurology at Tufts-New England Medical Center. Dr. Abbott is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the Massachusetts Medical Society. He is an assistant clinical professor at Tufts-New England Medical Center and an assistant professor at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University School of Medicine.
